American singer-songwriter Ester Dean has penned songs for 3 animation movies in a row: “Let Me Take You to Rio,” and “Take You to Rio” for Rio, “We Are (Family) for Ice Age: Continental Drift and “Let It Grow (Celebrate The World)” for Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.
Ester’s first single “Drop It Low ft. Chris Brown” became an instant Top 40 Billboard success. Her success continued when she co-wrote the infectiously upbeat “Super Bass” (Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday album) which reached #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Her collaborations with Rihanna (“Rude Boy,” “What’s My Name”), Katy Perry (“Firework”) and Robin Thicke (“Sex Therapy”) all rocketed to #1 on the Billboard charts, with “Firework” and “What’s My Name” having the honors of being #1 and #2 simultaneously. Dean also contributed to albums by Usher, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and Monica, netting a total of 5 Grammy nominations in the process. Checkout more about Ester Dean HERE.
