Rock Chic Karylle at Joey G’s “Stand” Concert

Karylle graced Joey Generoso’s Stand concert in the absence of her sister Zia Quizon held in Music Museum last 15 Aug 2012. Foreigner’s 1981 hit “Waiting for a Girl Like You” were performed in a sexy duet with Joey G. Wearing her rock chic royalty outfit with her guitar onstage, she performed I’ve Found My Smile Again, the 3rd single from her certified Gold Record album Roadtrip. She also covers Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors which Karylle sang in The Kitchen Musical Season 1.

Her self-produced album “Roadtrip” is Karylle’s fourth full-length album, features 11 songs written by Karylle herself and contains songs of various styles and sounds which reflected her numerous musical inclinations and influences. The album represents her being the artist, the singer and the songwriter. Roadtrip exemplifies Karylle’s versatility with the album’s upbeat groove of club remix, alternative pop and ballads.

Karylle has been nominated as Best Actress for the Pan-Asia series she appeared along with Christian Bautista, “The Kitchen Musical”, at the 52nd Monte Carlo TV Festival.
