Far East Movement members Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman take elements of hip-hop, electro, alternative, and dance to create an original pop sound and lifestyle they refer to as Dirty Bass, their fourth studio album. The 16-track album features mind-blowing collaborations with Justin Bieber for the lead single “Live My Life”, Redfoo of LMFAO for a ‘Party Rock Remix’ version of “Live My Life”, Tyga in “Dirty Bass”, Pitbull in “Candy”, Cassie for “Fly With U”, Alvaro in “Show Me Love” and Ryan Tedder of One Republic for “Rocketeer” which is a platinum selling Top 10 Billboard charting that connected with new fans of all ages. Dirty Bass also includes the new single “Turn Up the Love” feat. Cover Drive, “Where the Wild Things Are” feat. Crystal Kay, “Flossy” feat. My Name Is Kay, “If I Die Tomorrow” feat. Bill Kaulitz, “Ain’t Coming Down” feat. Sidney Samson & Matthew Koma, “Basshead” feat. YG, “Lights Out (Go Crazy)” feat. Junior Caldera & Natalia Kills, the ethereal standout “Little Bird” plus their chart-topping tune “Like a G6”.

FEM creates music that bridges the gap between underground party records and mainstream pop music. The group found mainstream success after building a following in the Downtown Los Angeles club scene. Their hit, “Like a G6”, instantly exploded on radio and sales charts, reaching triple platinum-plus status and the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart making them the first Asian-American group with a #1 song in the country.

Dirty Bass, with its booming bass line and sexy airtight melodies, definitely works in the clubs, but it’s also meant to be pumped up while driving, working out, or anywhere else.

DIRTY BASS is out now in CDs exclusively under MCA Music available at Astroplus and Odyssey Music & Video or online via www.MyMusicStore.com.ph. ”Turn Up The Love” is the 3rd single from FEM’s “Dirty Bass” album. It’s now AVAILABLE in Astroplus and Odysseylive.Net or online via MyMusicStore.com.ph.

MCA Music’s HOT NEW INTERNATIONAL RELEASES
May 2012

The MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines) latest international releases includes The Wanted, Keane, The Temper Trap and Far East Movement.

THE WANTED is a self-titled EP by British boy band The Wanted. The EP comprises material from The Wanted’s two studio albums, The Wanted (2010) and Battleground (2011), and their two new songs “Chasing the Sun” (ICE AGE 4 - OST) and “Satellite”. The band have already notched up four anthemic Top Five singles and two Number Ones, been viewed a staggering 30 million times on YouTube views and sold 400,000 copies of their eponymous debut album, which shook pop music to its core upon its release last October.

Strangeland is the fourth studio album by English alternative rock band KEANE. It is their first full length album since Perfect Symmetry (2008), as well as the first to feature bassist Jesse Quin as an official member. Helen Lear from The Music wrote that Strangeland “will still sound to some like middle-of-the-road indie-pop” and “pretty much what you would expect from Keane”, but “the tempo is noticeably more upbeat and the style more diverse than previous albums” and “offers some more fun in a grown-up style that may attract new fans to take a listen.”

THE TEMPER TRAP is the second studio album by the Australian band of the same name that brought us the hottest singles from the UK Album Chart such as “Sweet Disposition” from the OST of 500 Days of Summer, “Love Lost”, “Science of Fear” and “Fader”. This new album was recorded at the famed Sound Factory in Los Angeles, with producer Tony Hoffer, who’s worked with the likes of Beck, M83 & Phoenix. It is the band’s first album as a five-piece since Joseph Greer was added as a permanent member of the band.

FAR EAST MOVEMENT’s Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman take elements of hip-hop, electro, alternative, and dance to create an original pop sound and lifestyle they refer to as DIRTY BASS, their fifth studio album. It features mind blowing collaborations with Justin Bieber for the lead single “Live My Life”,Pitbull in “Candy”, Cassie for “Fly With U”, Alvaro in “Show Me Love” and Ryan Tedder of One Republic for “Rocketeer” among many others. “Rocketeer,” the second single featuring Ryan Tedder of One Republic is a platinum selling Top 10 Billboard charting that connected with new fans of all ages.

These awesome breakthrough albums are now distributed exclusively under MCA Music and are available at AstroPlus and Odyssey Music & Video and online via www.mymusicstore.com.ph

We still can’t believe, we had a chance to watch another You Tube Sensation artist. After an intimate concert by David Choi, now its Clara Chung or popularly known as Clara C. Thank you Monsoon Productions for bringing these great talents in the Philippines.

The show was opened by a warm acoustic set by Charles J. Tan. Get to know more of him HERE.

It’s Clara’s first Asian Pacific tour, travelling in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Australia, Seoul and the Philippines wherein she finds it a pretty yet rainy place to live in.

She’s adorable and It was fun watching her perform solo act (without her band), she’s a singer-songwriter who sang original songs from her album The Art in My Heart, which includes The Camel Song, Heartstrings and Heartbeat.

It’s nice to know that Clara C is a certified multi-instrumentalist, her version of Far East Movement’s Rocketeer was the best! Let me prove to you in this video by Clara C. And oh! I loved her doodle-like-artistic guitar.
