Lea Salonga: The MYX Magna Awardee 2013
The MYX Magna Award 2013 is given to music icon and broadway diva Lea Salonga at the annual MYX Music Awards held in Music Museum last night 20 Mar 2013.
“Have an effin’ good time doing this. You have to love this more than food, air and sex” is the advice Lea has given to aspiring music artists. “It has to be something you need to do and there can be nothing else,” she added.
In the tribute: Julie Anne San Jose sang “I Am But A Small Voice”; Erik Santos and K-La Rivera, “A Whole New World”; Juris and Richard Poon, “We Could Be In Love”; Nikki Gil, “Reflection”; and Christian Bautista & Rachelle Ann Go, “Sun And Moon” from the musical “Miss Saigon” were among those who performed to honor Lea Salonga with renditions of her popular songs and then came together to sing “Tagumpay Nating Lahat”. ~More from this article HERE.

24th Awit Awards: Parokya ni Edgar’s Pakiusap Lang (Lasingin Nyo Ako) for Song of the Year and Juris’ Now Playing for Album of the Year
After our Teatrino gig, we came across Music Museum just to glance at the ongoing 24th Awit Awards last night. Were glad to witness the last 2 awards, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, presented to Pakiusap Lang (Lasingin Nyo Ako) by Chito Miranda (Parokya Ni Edgar) and Juris, Now Playing (Juris) respectively.
Parokya Ni Edgar happily received their award while Juris was tearful and overwhelmed because it’s her first appreciation as a solo artist in a solo album.
Awit Awards’ Song of the Year Pakiusap Lang (Lasingin Nyo Ako), music video directed by Bubbles Paraiso, included in Parokya Ni Edgar’s Middle-Aged Juvenile Novelty Pop Rockers.
Parokya Ni Edgar also won this years Awit Awards’ Best Collaboration (Pangarap Lang Kita - PAROKYA NI EDGAR feat. HAPPEE SY), Best Performance by a Group of Recording Artists (Pakiusap Lang (Lasingin Nyo Ako)) and Best Ballad (Pangarap Lang Kita - PAROKYA NI EDGAR).
