Sesa: Music for the Youth23 June 2012 | Route 196, QC
So after the Fete dela Musique stopover, we went to Route 196 for Sesa’s gig. It’s our first time at this small yet intimate music venue dedicated for music lovers and music enthusiasts, a Cross and Arrow Events Management productions held last 23 June2012 at Route 196, QC. It’s great to listen to young inspiring musicians including RunManila, Clover Street and One Click Straight who performed to open the stage for Sesa, a project band giving rise to a heartwarming contemporary christian music.
Sta Maria is former Rivermaya vocalist Jason Fernandez (vocals), Beejay Valera (guitars), Krish Pincaro (keyboards), Jared Aquino (drums) and Ezekiel Banzuela (bass). Yahweh (also an original contemporary praise song), Rivermaya’s Elisi, Oasis’ Champagne Supernova and an untitled Yeng Constantino composition were the songs presented to the lively crowd supporters of OPM.

Sesa, the main act of the show composed by Yeng Constantino (vocals), Acel Bisa van Ommen (vocals and rhythm Guitar), Karmi Santiago (drums), Julie Samonte (guitars), and Edrei Olarte (bass), who rendered their own contemporary christian songs, a praise music which empowers the youth in a pop rock tune like Umalab Ka, Liliwanag, Panginoon, Kalasag and Extreme (performed for The Youth Summit 2012). Sesa were formed in 2010, has produced splendid original praise music in 2 years time and now they’re looking forward in compiling their songs to an album soon. Watch out for it! Let me hear those who are excited? Yell!
“Walang matigas na ulo sa mainit na pagmamahal,” Yeng’s greatest, sincerest and most memorable passage I’ve heard that night, very enlightening.
