“OPM MEANS Filipino pride. OPM means teaching, celebrating, moving, gathering and sharing. It’s about my story, your story, our story. Atin ‘to! It’s about us. OPM MEANS we are one.” It’s stated in this video featuring great Filipino artists in their love and advocacy for OPM, courtesy of Twinky Lagdameo.
Here’s to a great start for OPM this year. OPM Means is a movement in order to bring people together to rally their support for OPM Music. It aspires to promote Philippines music, revives the Filipino identity and educates about the brighter future of our music to younger generations in beating up foreign music more than our own. Support the upcoming projects of OPM Means.
OPM is the heart and soul of every Pinoy, regardless of musical influences. Let’s rally and be united to embrace our roots as it longs for recognition. We Filipinos as creators and supporters of OPM are responsible for encouraging, inspiring and caring for our own music, our cultural heritage.
OPM is alive! Join the movement. Support OPM.

The Legendary Pinoy Rock Icon Joey “Pepe” Smith
Juan dela Cruz LIVE! at Tiendesitas | May 26, 2010
Smith was a member of the nationalistic and the seminal Philippine rock group, the Juan dela Cruz Band along with fellow musicians, Wally Gonzales and Mike Hanopol. “Juan dela Cruz” is the recognized term for the “everyman” in Philippine society. The Juan dela Cruz Band initiated the rock music revolution in the Philippines, veering away from covers of foreign hit songs and focusing on original songwriting. The trio has always been credited of spearheading the Pinoy Rock genre in the Philippine music industry. -Wikipedia
