It’s when after I listened to Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo and Rock Maestro Bamboo’s rendition of this song that I appreciated it more than before and admired how Pink produced such great pop songs with rock music influences generally themed about relationships, breakups and the different stages and cases of love. I’ve been listening to her songs then. Just Give Me A Reason has its own amazing hook loaded with righteous raw emotions proving the song’s power to top the charts and iTunes as well. The coronation of “Reason,” which pushes 3-2 on Pop Songs and 24-15 on Adult Contemporary and has spent the past two weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, follows the No. 1 ascent of P!nk’s prior single “Try” on AC two weeks ago. Both songs appear on P!nk’s sixth studio album, “The Truth About Love,” which became her first Billboard 200 No. 1 in September. Full article HERE.
Just Give Me A Reason is Pink’s third single from the Platinum album The Truth About Love since its first release on Sept 2012. Upon researching about this song in You Tube, after listened to many covers of it, I stumble upon the Just Give Me A Reason Behind-The-Scenes video and amzed more about how they produce the intimate bed floating in the water scene. In the video, get to see Pink’s romantic interludes with husband Carey Hart, they really look very in love. Full article HERE.

MYX Music Awards 2013: An insight to my experience
by Ruby Alvez
“This is awesome!!!”
It’s the first phrase that popped in my head when I was finally inside the Music Museum to witness the annually held MYX Music Awards. (Well, minus the run-in with the security people. haha!)
I have never been in this “kind” of event, ever before and I was thankful that my friend invited me to come and experience it firsthand. I was truly hesitant at first (and I even mistook it for another day!), but then I thought, “What the heck, right? It should be fun.” And fun (and more), it is, indeed.
MYX Music Awards, already on its 8th year, is one of the music industry’s award-giving body in the Philippines, which honors the country’s biggest hitmakers — by giving the viewers the power to decide the winners themselves in 19 categories through SMS and online voting.
The theme of the night was the 80’s and it was great to see some of the artists joining the bandwagon and dressed up for the occasion, led by the VJs themselves who were, I must say, all fabulous.
Beatbox Philippines (who were such scene-stealers!), Yeng Constantino, Princess Velasco, Robin Nievera, Sam Concepcion, Anja Aguilar, KZ Tandingan, Zendee, Kean Cipriano and Elmo Magalona jumpstarted the night by performing the nominees for the Favorite Song category. We also got a taste of Abra’s rapping ingenuity by performing with Rhay Ty, Jose Amarra and Quest. And of course, a taste of the 80’s via the Neocolours and Menudo’s “If You’re Not Here” with a twist – not only on the song, but the hilarious costume as well – by Kamikazee, Hilera, and Typecast.
But the highlight of my night was the tribute to the MYXMagna Awardee for 2013 – Ms. Lea Salonga.
I had the once-in-a-lifetime chance of watching Lea Salonga when she comprised her role as ‘Kim’ in the well-loved musical ‘Miss Saigon’ when it was brought here in the Philippines back in 2001. The first musical I ever watched in my life. And the moment I became a fan of Lea Salonga.
Julie Ann San Jose sang “I Am But A Small Voice”; Erik Santos and K-La Rivera, “A Whole New World”; Juris and Richard Poon, “We Could Be In Love”; Nikki Gil, “Reflection”; and Christian Bautista & Rachelle Ann Go, “Sun And Moon” from the musical “Miss Saigon” were among those who performed to honor Lea Salonga with renditions of her popular songs and then came together to sing “Tagumpay Nating Lahat”. On a side note, it was delightful to see Lea giggling like a teenager at the sight of Christian Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go singing together.
The internationally acclaimed artist — with a 35-year career to boot — had this to say to those who aspire to join the music industry, “Have an effin’ time doing this. Love this more than anything else. There can be nothing else. If you have the passion, you belong here.”
Gloc-9 was the biggest winner of the night by bagging three (3) of the awards – Favorite Song (Sirena with Ebe Dancel), Favorite MYX Live! Performance and Favorite Collaboration (Sirena with Ebe Dancel). Sarah Geronimo, Julie Anne San Jose and Abra claimed two awards each, while Christian Bautista, Yeng Constantino and Daniel Padilla were named Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Female Artist and Favorite New Artist, respectively. Below are the complete list of winners.
It was a stellar night. A wonderful experience I would love to repeat. It may be lacking on some parts (more preparation, maybe? and better artists attendance, perhaps? But generally, I think it was a success. And whoever said that OPM is dead is dead wrong. It will never die. Seeing the influx of artists – the old and the new – still striving to contribute their earnest talents, I believe that the music industry in the Philippines has come such a long way.

Bryan Termulo: The Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs’ Road To Success
It’s my first time to personally meet Bryan Termulo yet I’ve seen him performed in an awarding ceremony at the Enpress’ 9th Golden Screen Awards in Teatrino.
In the blog conference dedicated for his concert promotion last Saturday (09 Feb 2013) at Insomia Bar, Centriswalk, I’ve listed down 10 things I discovered about Bryan and muster about not only his musical ability and good voice but also his road to success.
1. He started at GMA7 through the talent competition Pinoy Pop Superstar Year 3 where he ended up as the runner up and currently has a regular exposure over at ABS-CBN, both into singing and acting with product endorsements.
2. He achieved 2 silver medals in rock and original works, and one bronze in the R&B after competing the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in 2010. It’s an annual international competition in which selected countries are represented by their respective excellent aspiring performing artists. He also won the 2011 Awit Awards’ Best Album Packaging.
3. He released a debut album Begin under BWB Records and Music Production Inc. which included songs featured in a TV series and introduced him to become the Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs.
4. Hanggang Ngayon was his second album released under the same recording company and distributed by Star Records. It’s an 8-track album, 6 original songs and 2 cover songs as bonus tracks which arise his widely admired version of Dadalhin, a song originally by Regine Velasquez, the theme song of the popular TV series Walang Hanggan. Hanggang Ngayon is still out in record bars nationwide.
5. Other teleseryes he had contributed singing theme songs were Dahil Sa Pagibig, Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo and Ina, Kapatid, Anak. Another theme song he’s working is Isang Sulyap Mo with Juan Dela Cruz (topbilled by Coco Martin and Erich Gonzales), a song from his 2nd album Hanggang Ngayon. Watch out for his upcoming teleserye as he stars in Against All Odds with Judy Ann Santos, KC Concepcion, Sam Milby, Jericho Rosales and Jesse Mendiola soon.
6. Birthdays are celebrated in numerous ways but for Bryan, he will celebrate it through his first major concert entitled Bryan XXV Termulo Birthday Concert which will be held on 09 Mar 2013 at the Music Museum, 8PM! With special guests Liezel Garcia, KZ Tandingan, Bugoy Drilon, Melai Cantiveros and many more. You may also click the photo to show tickets.
7. I asked him about his highest achievement so far in his life and as an artist as he celebrates his 25 years of existence. He proudly tell us that it’s his recognition as Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs is his greatest achievement. As a recording artist, such identity is given to only a few. He is thankful for all the blessings that he received enormously yet he still plan to finish his studies soon.
8. Ariel Rivera (local) and Michael Bublé (foreign) is his inspiration in creating his music. Soon, he aspires of collaborating with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano. He ambition to attain more in the coming days of his career, learn to create his own songs and know how to act, then prove to everyone that his hard work paves the way to success.
9. You’ll not only listen to his astounding tone of contemporaries and fine tuned ballad, witness him take series of rhythmical steps and dance with the music. He will be performing spectacular productions with his co-artists, maximize his potential skills onstage and witness his fans going gaga over Bryan Termulo in the concert.

Someone Like You VERSIONS
By Adele
I’m very inspired listening to this song to a point where I need to cover it myself with the help of Ver on guitar, though I won’t be uploading it here unless you’ll request for it! Ha-Ha-Ha!
“Someone Like You” was written and produced by Adele and American songwriter and producer Dan Wilson, one of the last written for 21 album, which inspired by a broken relationship of the award winning singer-songwriter Adele. ~wikipedia
LIVE! versions and performances always amazes me, nothing beats it because it reveals raw talent, artist’s musicality & style and stage presence. OPM artists can also make a difference using covers, depends on your taste and its song arrangement. Take a closer look now!
Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo’s furious take on the song.
Ultimate Champion Rachelle Ann Go’s singing from the heart.
Rockoustic Princess Yeng Constantino rock version.
Brother duo The Lamars’ acoustic version.

Pick your choice! Hope I got all your favorite’s versions or if I missed one kindly share it here. ;)
